Pyrocool is a liquid concentrate additive to water which is used to RAPIDLY EXTINGUISH & DRAMATICALLY COOL a wide range of fires.  It is an Award Winning, Ecologically Friendly extinguishing agent, and is completely biodegradable, unlike other extinguishing agents. Pyrocool is safe and more effective on Brush and Forest Fires than the most common extinguishing agents currently in use.

Pyrocool attacks the heat component of fire. It increases the water’s ability to absorb the heat, dramatically cooling the area as it extinguishes the fire. In many Departments manpower is limited and ventilation can be delayed or even non-existent, the cooling effects of Pyrocool can make a big difference in the effectiveness of fire crews.

Pyrocool’s cooling ability make it an essential tool in fighting difficult fires in Hi-Rise and wind blown fires in fireproof buildings, as well as ship board and cellar fires. Less Pyrocool (0.4%) is needed than traditional fire foams, (3% & 6%), to treat a given quantity of water. This makes it an ideal foam for Marine units, as less needs to be carried on board and less water would typically be used to extinguish the fire.

Lloyds of London predicted that it would take 10 Days to extinguish this fire. Pyrocool, at a 0.4% mixture ratio, did the job in only 12 ½ Minutes! 

The unique cooling ability of Pyrocool is demonstrated here as fire crews are able to advance hose lines in a standing position.

Flames are extinguished in under 12 seconds using a 1" hose flowing 35 GPM. That's only 12 gallons of water and 3 ounces of Pyrocool concentrate at 0.4%.

1/2 gallon of Pyrocool FEF mixed with 500 liters of water. Prop (pressurized fire, flowing fuel fire, pooled fire) Two CAFS flowing 15 GPM each (30 GPM total flow) extinguished the fire in about 30 seconds. It takes 30 MINUTES to extinguish the same fire using AFFF @ 3% and 190 GPM flow. (that's over 5,500 Gal of water & 170 gal of AFFF)

Pyrocool works well on deep seated fires as demonstrated in this video clip. Pyrocool was also used to successfully extinguish the deep seated fires that burned at “Ground Zero”. This to date is the largest deep seated fire ever fought.

Deep seated fires such as this coal fire and fires in Hay Bales or Cotton bales can be dealt with most effectively using Pyrocool. DRAMATIC COOLING…SECOND TO  NONE !

These are difficult fires to extinguish, but Pyrocool is up to the task and again, demonstrates its superior abilities.

Unlike any other extinguishing agent Pyrocool can extinguish a flowing fuel fire. Note that the firefighters are attacking the fire INTO the wind and are able to do so in nearly a full standing position. Testimony to the superior cooling ability of Pyrocool.
